Accounting Manager at MP SYSTEMS in East Troy, Wisconsin

Job Description:

The Accounting Manager is charged with the Administration of the Control Department and finances and servicing the Company to meet or exceed the objectives, while safeguarding and preserving all resources and properties of the Company.
The Accounting Manager will report to the Controller of MP Systems and will monitor and audit MP Systems departments with recommendations to Controller, President and Branch Managers, and serve as a financial resource and service to all personnel.


Processing:
Understand and assist Branch and Project Managers in all aspects of the OPS System: Bid process, job plans, change orders, schedule of values, forecasting, and project analysis.
Facilitate licensing requirements for various states, counties, cities, and occupations. Maintain current database of various licenses.
Study existing control procedures and policies, present findings and make recommendations to management
Review and assess the operation of general office routines and make recommendations concerning staffing needs.
Reports:
Manage and supervise payroll and accounts payable functions and staff to provide an efficient team to perform accounting functions. Evaluate employee performance, recommend promotions or disciplinary actions.
Maintain records of all fixed assets including monthly depreciation, acquisitions, and disposals. Maintain current licensing on all applicable assets and facilitate property tax returns.
Coordinate with external auditors in annual and special audit functions with regards to assigned specific areas.
Reconcile asset and liability accounts monthly.
Facilitate completion of month end financial closings.Prepare accurate and timely branch profit and loss reports, cash flow and other supporting reports.
