Job Description:

Ledgent is a seeking an AR/Cash Applications Specialist. This is a long term temporary role lasting 6+ months. It will be working 100% in office. The company is located in West Houston.


Position Overview:


As a Cash Applications Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely application of cash receipts. You will be responsible for processing incoming payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records. This position requires strong analytical skills and a commitment to excellence.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Process and apply cash receipts to customer accounts in a timely manner.

  • Reconcile daily cash transactions and maintain accurate records.

  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

  • Prepare and maintain reports on cash application activities.

  • Assist with month-end closing activities related to cash management.

  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries related to payments.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 3 experience in cash applications or accounts receivable.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
