Job Description:

CIVIL ENGINEER II

The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of Civil Engineer II. This position performs professional civil engineering work in the office or field in connection with the design, investigation, development, maintenance and construction of civil engineering projects; to perform related work as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a college or university of recognized standing with specialization in Civil Engineering.
    • Copy of diploma or official transcripts required at time of application.
  • Possess a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the State    of Michigan.
  • Driving record must meet City’s standards for insurability.
  • Four (4) years experience in Civil Engineering and construction administration work related to the design and construction of      water mains, sewer lines and paving projects.
  • Must have passed the NCEES fundamentals of engineering exam.
    • Copy of certification required at time of application
    • Must successfully become registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Michigan.

Pay rate:  $102,041/year - $105,257/year (after 5 years)
