Moderna is seeking a motivated, curious, and hard-working student to work with our Medical Affairs Operations team. This is an opportunity for a candidate to develop skills and learn about the biopharmaceutical industry and Moderna while gaining real-world experience in a variety of functions.
We are seeking a candidate who is aligned with Moderna's culture centered on bold, collaborative, curious, and relentless values, which enable innovation in mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutics to benefit patients. The student will work with various Medical Affairs team members to execute critical activities and gain a broad understanding of our business. This position will run from January 21st-June 20th, 2024 and candidates must be available full-time for the entire duration of the program.
Here's What You'll Do:
Develop an understanding of the Medical Affairs Operations functions to lend support across the team as needs arise.
Collaborate with stakeholders throughout Moderna and external partners/vendors to efficiently and effectively deliver on operational tasks.
Apply A.I. throughout our business to improve quality and turnaround time while reducing burden on team members.
Assigned tasks may be, but not limited to:
Supporting process improvement initiatives from workshopping through issue identification and improvement implementation.
Facilitating Healthcare Provider (HCP) interactions by managing aspects of symposium speaker engagements and advisory boards.
Supporting vendor contract development and execution
Assisting various Grants programs by dashboarding, organization and tracking of investigator sponsored studies, fellowships, collaborative studies, and real-world evidence studies.
Supporting budget development, analysis, and presentation.
Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
A curiosity and desire to learn more about the biopharmaceutical industry from industry experts
Be enrolled in a degree program focused on sciences, technology, project management, nursing, business, management, public health or similar.
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken), and strong interpersonal and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Boldness to ask relevant questions to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and to support creative problem solving
Strong analytical skills to translate data and information into a strategy for action
Proficiency with MS Office Suite and a comfort with learning technical tools/systems relevant to the job function
