Position Summary: The Regulatory Compliance Assistant assists in the administration of the day-to-day operations of the pre- and post-employment regulatory compliance functions and duties.
Essential Functions:
Assist with company pre- and post-employment compliance programs, including but not limited to, drug screens, CDL physicals and certifications according to DOT regulations and company policy;
Maintain and update driver qualification files in accordance with DOT regulations and company policy;
Assist with completion of DOT employment verifications;
Assist in the administration of the Company Drug and Alcohol Program;
Provide customer service functions by responding to management and employee requests and questions;
Assist in the maintenance and retrieval of department records pursuant to DOT regulations and company record retention policies;
Assist the department in carrying out various regulatory compliance programs and procedures for all company employees;
Establish and maintain effective relationships with federal, state, and local regulatory officials, coworkers, and customers;
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree is preferred, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Word; Excel, Outlook, Windows, the Internet, and other relevant software; ability to adjust to new and changing computer systems and to operate standard office equipment.
Mastery of general office procedures and techniques; ability to update skills on a continual basis.
Excellent typing and data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to recognize and maintain confidential information.
Superior verbal and written communication, including grammar, composition, editing and proofreading.
Strong interpersonal skills; professional demeanor with a commitment to diversity and equality.
Strong organizational skills; able to organize and prioritize workflow; ability to manage multiple activities and projects, often with competing deadlines, and follow up on projects through completion, with exceptional attention to detail.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, on-site position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
