The Content Marketing Writer will be responsible for producing engaging, audience-focused content for various platforms, including web, social media, email, and print. The role will follow the company's established style guide and voice, ensuring all content is informative and aligned with marketing objectives. As a key contributor, this role involves both content creation and project management, supporting and evaluating marketing campaigns to enhance future strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a background in the biosciences and previous experience in technical or content marketing writing. The position requires independence in managing tasks, as well as creativity in proposing new ideas. Strong communication, time management, and attention to detail are essential skills for success in this role.
This role is on-site 5 days a week in San Jose, CA
Reports to: Director, Digital Marketing
Key Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and assess promotional marketing campaigns.
Develop customer-facing content for web pages, blogs, technical notes, product descriptions, FAQs, webinars, and more.
Create engaging email content, such as newsletters, digests, and announcements.
Collaborate with internal teams to produce and edit video, audio, and presentation materials for internal and external use.
Create content for virtual and in-person events, including print and electronic literature.
Develop and manage social media campaigns, including content creation for platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
Review and provide feedback on marketing materials produced by other team members.
Collaborate with graphic designers on content and imagery.
Analyze and report on the effectiveness of campaigns, providing recommendations for improvement.
Suggest new ideas for marketing content and ways to improve internal processes.
Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Molecular Biology or related life science field.
At least two years of experience in marketing or technical writing within a life sciences organization.
Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on laboratory experience in Molecular Biology or a related field.
