Role Description

This is a full-time role in the Tampa Bay area for a Commercial Project Manager. The role involves day-to-day tasks to oversee and manage commercial construction projects from conception to completion. The project manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project align with budget, timelines, and agreed-upon scope, as well as communicating with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Work closely and effectively with internal project staff - Superintendents, Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Cost Accountants, Contract Administrators - to attain project goals
  • Utilize construction management software to create and manage the project - budgets, budget revisions, change orders, owner pay applications, subcontractor invoices, etc.
  • Monitor cost and perform projections with monthly financial reports (EOM's)
  • Create / manage subcontractor commitments, change orders, schedule, submittal / shop drawing process.
  • Work hand in hand with the Architect/Engineer/Owner to ensure the vision of the project is being obtained
  • Make or force required decisions to assure that major objectives are met
  • Conduct estimates for changes and review with project team
  • Conduct regular progress meetings with Owner/Architect
  • Control all back-charges
  • Work with the Superintendent to enforce RBBC safety rules and procedures on each project
  • Produce project Monthly Report's
  • Conduct inspections as required by the RBBC Quality Control Program
  • Attend weekly Subcontractor Coordination meeting (to maintain info flow & update schedule)
  • Update project schedule weekly for distribution to subcontractors/owner
  • Approve and process all Subcontractor Payment Requisitions
  • Submit Cash Flow Report with each owner payment application
  • Prepare and process Owner Monthly Pay Applications
  • Administer DPO Process
  • Attend Reno Boyd Building Company (RBBC) internal meetings
  • Assist Project Executive in project personnel administration, evaluation, and development

Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Procore is required
  • Proficiency with Excel is required
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to develop and manage budgets
  • Experience producing Owner Monthly Pay Applications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience and knowledge of finance and contract management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external parties, such as clients, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding commitment and dedication to the company and its clients
  • Ensure regular and effective communication within the company and partners
  • Must be self-motivated and punctual
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow up skills both internally and externally.

  • Work requires the ability to operate an automobile and have a valid state driver's license
  • Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, CCM, LEED) are a plus
