Position Type: Full-time Permanent Day and Swing shift available
Location: Staten Island, NY
Reports to: The PM/Warehouse Manager
Compensation: Strong hourly rate plus overtime!!!

Day shift: 5:30 AM - 2 PM
Swing shift: 3 PM - 1 AM
Responsibilities
*Route Planning - Develop optimized delivery routes to ensure efficient and cost-effective deliveries, considering variables such as traffic, and weather, and set delivery schedules
* Real-time Tracking - Monitor delivery drivers' progress using GPS technology, proactively addressing potential delays by keeping an eye on their location and estimated arrival times.
* Communication - Maintain open communication lines with drivers, leadership, and other departments such as sales, receiving, and inventory to ensure everyone is on the same page, providing clear instructions, addressing queries, and updating any changes in delivery schedules or sales orders.
* Problem Solving - Quickly tackle unforeseen challenges like traffic congestion or customer availability issues, finding alternative solutions to ensure timely deliveries.
* Customer Interaction - Interact with customers when necessary, offering delivery updates, addressing inquiries, and handling all concerns professionally.
* Data Management - Use data and analytics tools to gather insights on delivery performance, identify trends, and suggest enhancements to optimize delivery operations.
* Collaboration -Coordinate with our Warehouse Leadership to ensure a seamless flow of goods including ensuring orders are picked and staged, and loading and unloading of vehicles.
* Safety - Help ensure driver and customer safety and assist with any potential concerns that might arise during a delivery
* Adaptability - Stay adaptable to changing delivery volumes, routes, and schedules, and remain informed about changes to sale orders
Skills
* 3-5 years of experience in Routing and Dispatching in the wholesale plumbing industry
* Bilingual (Spanish)
* Strong knowledge of the 5 boroughs of NY
* ERP system knowledge is preferred
* Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
* MS Suite, G Suite knowledge
* Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
* Excellent Communication, including writing, speaking, and interpersonal communication
* Self-Driven & laser focus on details with outstanding organization skills
