Position Overview
The Executive Vice President of Marketing will lead all aspects of marketing for Prime Group's self storage business as well as its commercial real estate holdings. Additionally, this leader will work to elevate the brand of Prime Group Holdings to further its continued growth as a premier private equity company. He/she will be accountable for the strategic planning, execution and analysis of all marketing efforts. This person will lead the Marketing organization and mentor a dynamic team as well as effectively liaise with all other departments, driving a collaborative, results-oriented agenda.
Essential Responsibilities
Strategically manage all aspects of Prime Group's marketing efforts, while offering insight and subject matter expertise to advance corporate objectives
Develop and execute marketing plans with a focus on growing Prime Group's brand presence and position among the company's customers, employees, clients, investors and other stakeholders
Govern a large marketing budget that supports organizational goals and priorities (including site advertising, paid media, social media, etc.), while basing marketing spending on achieving data-driven, observable desired outcomes
Possess a fluent, current understanding of advertising channels, tactics and process, particularly in the areas of content development and media placement
Regularly communicate marketing efforts and results to the COO and other members of senior leadership, guided by criteria including actual-versus-projected results, value enhancement, timelines, budgets, etc.
Stay abreast of the nuances within the competitive landscape, anticipate industry trends, and identify opportunities to generate organic growth
Create marketing research initiatives as may be needed, to offer tangible insight into consumer behavior with the intent to drive and optimize marketing efforts
Develop highly effective partnership and relationships with various agents/vendors, ensuring Prime Group's expectations are clearly communicated
Cultivate industry and other relationships that create opportunities for the company
Successfully work across divisions and teams within Prime Group, particularly Operations and Asset Management, so as to most efficiently scale Prime Group's business across a broad geographic physical footprint
Within the Marketing department, identify and nurture talent, promote team building and resolve conflicts in a timely and productive manner, while providing individually based feedback and advocacy
Ensure marketing team members have a transparent understanding of corporate goals, objectives and executive priorities
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years professional experience, most recently in a senior level marketing role, advertising/media agency or similar position, with a strong record of increasing responsibilities and accomplishments
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or similar field; MBA/Master's is a plus
Successful background in building brands, developing advertising campaigns and executing across multiple marketing channels, while maintaining and enhancing corporate ROI, KPIs, Google Analytics, etc.
An industry-specific understanding of digital marketing, including site optimization, SEO/SEM, social media platforms, display media, etc.
Proven ability to form and lead the marketing teams to develop creative, effective marketing media, while offering strategic feedback on user experience, design and messaging strategy
Effective at translating conceptional ideas into strategic execution
Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, coupled with senior-level corporate prowess and experience
