The Director-Product Engineering, will have a team of < 10 direct reports to performance manage their contributions to the assigned product segment. Product segment responsibility will have global reach and visibility. Expectations is that the Director-Product Engineering is the single point contact responsible for the technical execution of the product strategy in meeting business objectives
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Lead the product development execution of the assigned Product Segment in support Product Roadmap and Business Objectives - be THE single point technical contact
Work with Product Management (and cross-functional Stakesholders) to support assigned Product Segment
Support the development of Technology roadmaps for technology inclusion into Product
Lead the execution of the Product Development Process for assigned Product Segment
Provide performance management for the assigned team including career and succession planning/evaluation
Collaborative member of the CTO staff supporting Product, Process, Performance, and People management activities
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
10+ years developing sensor products for any of the following: Industrial, Process, Test & Measurement, Automotive, Aerospace industries
5+ years supervising Engineering Teams including performance management
Management of multi-site (including global) Engineering resources
Bachelors degree in an Engineering or Science discipline- Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Physics, Chemistry, Metallurgy
Essential/Preferred Skills:
Master Degree in relevant technical area preferred
Experience in managing a product portfolio of pressure, flow, or similar product is preferred
Familiarity with relevant Industry standards for product compliance
Demonstrated communication skills based on situation and need
Demonstrated visibility to Customer and Supplier activities
Familiarity with lean tools such as Kaizens, Six Sigma, Shainin, etc.
Familiarity with AGILE principles
Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an office environment with reasonable accommodations as needed
Ability to navigate a test lab with moving equipment and people
Ability to navigate a production floor making volume product with moving equipment and people
Noise levels will be typical of office and manufacturing environments, with reasonable accommodations as needed
Travel expectations: max 20% for domestic, 1-2 trips outside US expected per year
