We solve the most difficult engineering challenges found in compressed air systems through comprehensive analysis, design, controls, and automation. Our team forges lasting customer relationships to deliver innovative data-driven solutions, maximizing compressed air system efficiency and reliability while minimizing operating costs. Our vision is to create a more sustainable world as the industry leading partner in compressed air management that people want to work with and work for.
We are looking for an Assessment Engineer, ready to research, analyze, develop, and implement assessments to help deliver energy and cost-saving solutions for our customers.
This role serves to identify opportunities for improvement within industrial compressed air systems, including quantifying energy savings opportunities, identifying production improvement opportunities, and documenting these opportunities in order to underscore the impact for our customers.
Responsibilities
Independently leads comprehensive (e.g. supply side and demand side), on-site compressed air system assessments at customer facilities
Develops rapport and trust with customers to understand their needs, production requirements, and planned changes within their compressed air system
Gathers required system data and information, including pressure, power, flow, and air quality, to properly baseline system performance
Processes, analyzes data and conducts engineering calculations to accurately determine baseline system performance
Identifies opportunities for efficiency and reliability improvements throughout the compressed air system
Quantify savings and impact of associated opportunities identified during the assessment.
Works with data logging equipment throughout the assessment process.
Leverages assessment tools, instrumentation, and data to provide deliverables. This includes insertion of flow meters, pressure transmitters, current transmitters, power meters, and pressure dew point transmitters.
Assembles assessment report based on findings and presents assessment findings to team and end clients.
Works with project team to develop schematic design deliverables to execute on opportunities identified in assessment. This includes creating single line drawings, equipment schedules, piping diagrams, P&ID diagrams, synthesize solutions, and putting together preliminary solutions for our clients.
Preferred Qualifications
Real-world, hands-on experience executing supply and demand side compressed air assessments in an industrial environment, including planning, implementation, data analysis, and report generation
Has a flexible, practical, and objective approach to solving problems and uses strong, independent critical thinking skills
Ability to determine the best technical approach based on project, customer, and budget requirements
Ability to interpret and provide input on electrical drawings, P&ID diagrams, process flowcharts, etc.
