Production Technician Temp through December 31st at Ground Force in Belgrade, Montana

Job Description:

Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

  • Ability to read tape measures, blueprints and schematics

  • Able to be on feet continuously for long periods of time

  • Able to bend, stoop, squat, and twist

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly

  • Able to follow standard safety procedures

  • Consistent availability for scheduled shifts

Accountabilities

Including but not limited to:


  • Assembly preparation – Gathering, inspecting, organizing & delivering all required parts for each assembly to each work group as needed

  • Drilling and tapping of Machine-In-House (MIH) designated parts

  • Preparation of Burn & Machine (B&M) designated parts

  • Set-up & break-down of parts and assemblies for paint

  • General shop maintenance (keep common areas clean & organized, inspect rigging equipment)

  • Practice 5S (Sort, Set-in Order, Shine, Standardize & Sustain) in common areas throughout the shops


  • Continuously improve processes and standards related to the Production Technician

  • Cross trained w/ Yard Laborer – Sandblast tending, saw cutting, yard maintenance, etc.

  • Cross trained w/ Service/Parts Coordinator to assist in managing warehouse space

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however can be severe and caution shall be executed with the use of PPE as required.

  • Identify urgency and coordinate accordingly to ensure production flow
