The organization is looking for a Senior Civil Estimator with expertise in Structural Steel to become a part of their team. This role is critical in providing accurate quantity takeoffs and pricing for structural aspects of Heavy Highway, Civil Infrastructure, and Vertical Construction Project Estimates.

Focus:
Conduct initial analyses of drawings and specifications to ensure completeness and determine the scope of work.
Develop full-scope estimates based on various delivery methods, including Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CM/GC construction documents.
Critically analyze bid documents to identify risks and opportunities and communicate these insights to management.
Participate in preparing technical proposals for Alternative Delivery projects.
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and create comprehensive crew and production cost estimates.
Review pricing with the estimating team and solicit subcontractor and vendor pricing inputs as necessary.
Attend pre-bid meetings, site tours, and pre/post-bid interviews as required.
Manage and maintain the subcontractor database and oversee subcontractor prequalification processes.
Build effective relationships with clients, design teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect the company's core values.
Skill Set:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of experience in preconstruction/estimating or operations related to commercial construction projects.
Extensive knowledge of civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, heavy civil, and associated costs.
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
Proficient in estimating software such as OnScreen Takeoff and HCSS Heavy Bid, along with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Bluebeam, and AutoCAD 3D.
Strong organizational skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Resourceful and adept at problem-solving and adapting to new challenges.
