The Role:

We're looking for an innovative Head of Information Technology to drive technological advancements while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver results. As a key strategic partner, you'll shape and implement solutions that align with business priorities, enhance operational efficiency, and enable growth. What You'll Do:

  • Strategic IT Planning: Develop and implement the organization's IT strategy to support long-term business goals.Understand the current technological landscape and scanning and predicting future trends and opportunities. Craft a clear and comprehensive technology strategy for the next phase in our evolution, including the talent and capability required, which must be closely aligned with our business strategies and ambition. Must have agile adaptation to evolving market dynamics while ensuring that the technology investments drive value and competitive advantage across the business.

  • Technology Transformation: Partner with all functions to drive and optimise the business value delivered by core technology platforms. In addition, support the strategic direction of the business by delivering core technologies, fostering innovation and efficiency across the business. This encompasses the development and implementation of robust demand management practices and transformation methodologies, ensuring a cohesive and standardised approach to existing and future core Technology implementation and enablement. Work closely with leadership team and business partners to understand their IT needs and deliver tailored solutions that support overall business goals.

  • Team Leadership: Lead a high-performing technology function, inspiring and empowering the team to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability. Collaborate to leverage the scale of ABF and the extensive technology eco system and ABF's strategic partner network.

  • Build Partnerships; Build partnerships to foster meaningful relationships with key stakeholders across the business, earning their trust, and ensuring a seat at their table. Navigating organizational dynamics successfully to achieve agreement on high quality technology choices and decisions.

  • Budget Management; Oversee IT budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and maintaining vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services.

  • Cybersecurity: Ensure the company's data and IT infrastructure are secure by implementing and maintaining robust cybersecurity policies.

  • Technology Innovation: Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, productivity, and competitive advantage.

  • System Integration: Oversee the integration of new systems with existing business processes and technology.

  • Disaster Recovery & Backup: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with data protection laws and industry standards.

  • Vendor & Contract Management: Maintain relationships with external vendors, negotiate contracts and oversee service agreements. Partner with ABF Business Technology Services in the delivery of infrastructure and other services. Participate in the ABF BTS Governance committee to establish the strategic direction and roadmap of BTS.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, or other related business field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience across all IT functions with proven history of effectively building IT environments and delivering scalable solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to support and inspire IT teams, establishing a collaborative culture and delivering quality work to meet business goals.
  • Ability to partner with the business on IT solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Extensive experience in managing ERP projects within the manufacturing or food production sector, with a proven history of effective delivery.
  • Proven stakeholder management abilities, with experience in engaging with senior level executives.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proven experience in maintaining third-party vendor relationships, including selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple vendors to ensure seamless integration and timely delivery of services.
  • Comprehensive understanding of vendor contracts and service level agreements.
  • Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial planning, and cost management related to large-scale IT projects.
  • Strategic mindset, strong influencer, and strong leadership skills.
