Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and safety-focused Senior Project Manager to oversee complex plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC construction projects from start to finish. Your role will involve managing all aspects of these projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. You will be a key player in maintaining ACI Industries' reputation for excellence by upholding our core values and delivering outstanding service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead and manage commercial plumbing and HVAC projects, ensuring adherence to client specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Communication & Negotiation: Serve as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and problem-solving throughout the project lifecycle.
Scheduling & Tracking: Develop and maintain project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure all project milestones are met.
Cost Forecasting & Profitability: Monitor project costs, forecast financial outcomes, and ensure profitability goals are met.
Document Control: Maintain accurate project records, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of HVAC and plumbing technicians, ensuring high performance and adherence to safety standards.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, focusing on safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Project Management Expertise: Proven experience managing commercial plumbing and HVAC projects, with a strong understanding of the MD, DC, and VA construction markets.
Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems, with the ability to interpret project specifications and industry standards.
Software Proficiency: Proficiency in estimating software, industry-related software, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
Leadership & Independence: Ability to lead a team, work independently, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience:
Two to four years of engineering or trade school training (such as an engineering degree).
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Project Manager for a commercial plumbing or HVAC contractor.
Experience managing and supervising a team of Project Managers is preferred.
