Integra US Marketing LLC, based in Houston, is looking for a Chartering Manager
Your Role:
Chartering of Chemical and Gas ships on a worldwide basis, with a primary focus on shipments originating from the Americas.
Negotiation and execution of Spot Chartering, Time Charters and COAs, including barging logistics.
Collaborate on a daily basis with Chartering colleagues in Switzerland and Singapore for cross-regional cargoes, working closely with the global trading teams, creating business opportunities.
Analyze charter parties and voyage documents, clarify events with agents, brokers, owners and customers to ensure speedy resolution of demurrage and claims.
Work as part of the commercial team to review sale/purchase contracts and charter parties to highlight shipping risks.
Work closely with Operations to support and assist the team with vessel related issues.
Monitoring and following the dynamics of freights and flows; propose trading opportunities and highlight risk areas.
Maintain updated reporting and recording of all fixtures in the company's internal ERM system.
Production of reports when required and presentation of results to management.
Track and keep abreast of relevant global and regional regulatory developments regarding decarbonization and sustainability.
Functionally reporting to the Global Head of Chartering based in Singapore, and for Admin to the GM of the USA office based in Houston.
Characteristics:
Minimum 5 years Chemicals or Gas Chartering experience, either as an Owner, Charterer or Broker.
Operations or shipping education is an asset and the Candidate should have been employed recently in a Chartering capacity.
Excellent communication skills (close co-operation internally with Traders, Operators, Finance as well as contact with external parties such as Ship Owners and Brokers on a daily basis).
Self-driven individual with the ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment, providing creative and practical solutions.
Fluent in English (spoken and written - company language is English), knowledge of other languages is an advantage in a global company.
