This role will support our central Human Resources function by maintaining, supporting, and molding how we interact with our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Beyond driving strategic initiatives with data reporting and analysis, this role will be pivotal in setting the tone for our new HRIS implementation for folks throughout Old Republic International (ORI) - inside and outside of our HR team. Your responsibilities over the next 12-24 months as we implement new HRIS:
  • Assist our Subject Matter Experts from Corporate and our subsidiaries who will provide current data, create data translation matrices, generate end-user guides to replace existing documentation.
  • Assist as a resource for technical issues related to integrations, network, security, and data conversion.
  • Serves as a source for UKG configuration and on-going system and security setup support
  • Assists in gathering and analyzing data for project management and transformation decision-making, conducting quantitative and qualitative research along the way.
  • Ensure data integrity testing and test system changes as part of the project team.

Your ongoing responsibilities:
  • Lead the management of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS), including data entry and configuration, troubleshooting, and employee support.
  • Work cross-functionally across Old Republic International (ORI) to ensure our teammates can access and use our HRIS with no issues. Provide support; develop and deliver training; create and maintain user guides and documentation.
  • Collaborate with our HR team to assess and improve processes surrounding our HRIS, including but not limited to standardizing best practices and automating processes to improve efficiency.
  • Be an educator to leaders and teammates alike and translate HR related data to stakeholders to drive decision-making and wider understanding.
  • Maintaining compliance with standard laws and regulations, as well as staying current on any changes in legislation, laws, policies, and/or procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity testing and test system changes.
  • Analyze and help resolve HRIS errors and other issues caused by user error or incorrect reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with Company policies and plans.
  • Analyze system-created errors and other issues.
  • Generate and distribute various reports, including headcount, turnover, compliance, benefit and other HR metrics.
  • Take charge of any HRIS initiatives and lead any new implementations within our HRIS to ensure ease of use and continuation of best practices.
  • Lead completion of regulatory filings with HRIS collected data and working to complete these within given timeframes/deadlines.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Your qualifications:
  • 5-8 years of experience working with HRIS systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including intermediate to advanced skill within Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.). Experience with pivot tables and v-lookups required.
  • Data oriented, someone who can tell a story with numbers.
  • Interpersonal skills working with internal and external customers alike, giving support and patience to all levels of employees throughout the company.
  • Deep knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • You thrive in a team environment and embrace the differences of others, by both being able to share your perspective as well as listen to the perspectives of your teammates.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with consideration for meeting deadlines.
  • You are service-oriented.

You have preferred skills for the role if you have:
  • Experience with UKG.
  • Experience with an HRIS implementation.
  • HRIS Certifications (UKG Certification, SHRM-CP, PHR, or others).
  • Experience within an insurance environment.
