Title: EHS Supervisor - Truck & Van Body Manufacturer
Location: Janesville, WI 53546
Salary: $95,000 - $120,000 + Relocation Package Working Hours: Mon-Fri 7am-4pm (estimate) Founded in 1965 we are the premier producer of truck & van bodies in the US. We specialize in the manufacturing of dry freight, custom cargo, refrigerated truck & platform van bodies with 14 manufacturing facilities across the US. Our facility in Janesville has the need for an EHS Supervisor who will ensure safe working conditions for all team members. The supervisor will engage on all plant level EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) activities incl: coordination of coverage for EHS leads & overseeing the plant Safety Committee. Your goal will be to eliminate accidents, injuries & property loss through effective problem solving and management.
What You Will Be Doing
Support local health & safety processes within plant, incl: JHA, PPE, behavioral based safety observations & ergonomics
Oversee & direct shift safety coordinators, ERT/First Responder Team, Haz Response Teams etc
Support local regulatory compliance incl: SWPPP, SPCC, EPCRA & RCRA
Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of hazard management systems
Support site in investigating & reviewing near-misses & accidents to ensure proper preventative measures
Support site in review of injury & property damage reports in compliance w/ worker's comp
Conduct & coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions & safe work practices
What You Need for this Position
Bachelors in Occupational Safety / Health / Environmental (or closely related field is ideal)
5+ years of health, safety & environmental experience in manufacturing
OSHA 501 or OSHA 511 certification ideal
Working knowledge of HSE regulations at local, state & federal levels
Problem resolution w/ understanding of root cause investigative process
Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook 365
Exposure to industrial manufacturing / automotive space ideal
