Role Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Analyst for our Hardware and Software Asset Management (HW/SW AM) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management processes, including auditing and compliance, and will be proficient in using ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro and Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, manage asset lifecycles, and support organizational goals related to asset optimization. The Senior Analyst will also represent the team in all Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) activities, ensuring that asset management considerations are integrated throughout the M&A process.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the hardware and software asset management processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
Conduct regular audits of hardware and software assets to ensure accuracy in inventory and licensing, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
Utilize ServiceNow HAM Pro and SAM Pro to track, manage, and optimize asset lifecycles, ensuring accurate reporting and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, procurement, finance, and legal, to ensure effective asset management practices and alignment with business objectives.
Represent the HW/SW asset management team in all M&A activities, providing insights on asset valuation, integration planning, and compliance requirements.
Experience in reading contractual language for software license agreements
Be point of contact for all reporting needs from ServiceNow for the M&A Team.
Develop and maintain asset management policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Analyze asset utilization and provide insights to inform purchasing decisions, retirement of obsolete assets, and software license renewals.
Prepare and present reports and metrics to stakeholders, highlighting asset performance, compliance status, and improvement opportunities.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in asset management to continually enhance the organization's asset management capabilities.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
5-8 years of experience in hardware and software asset management, including experience with audits and compliance and reading contractual language
Proficiency in ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Pro and Software Asset Management (SAM) Pro is required.
CSAM Certified preferred
Experience in M&A activities and understanding of the implications of asset management in the M&A process. Legal document review is a plus
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
