Our client is a software development company based in Jacksonville, FL. With a team of 20 dedicated professionals, we pride ourselves on fostering a strong, collaborative culture that drives innovation and delivers results. Our mission is to simplify complex government operations through strategic planning and cutting-edge software solutions.

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile leader to join our team as an Executive Director, with the goal of transitioning into the CEO role. The ideal candidate will have a background in business, finance, legal, or software development and possess a deep understanding of organizational management, strategic planning, and policy implementation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Strategy:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring alignment with our client's mission and long-term strategic goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, business growth, and company culture.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new opportunities for business development and service improvement.
  • Act as a visionary leader, driving innovation and identifying ways to improve processes, service offerings, and overall performance.

  • Financial Oversight & Budgeting:
  • Develop and manage the company's budget, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead financial planning and analysis to optimize resources and support long-term sustainability.

  • Contract Management & Legal Compliance:
  • Provide guidance on contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee legal matters pertaining to governmental contracts and partnerships.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Business Development:
  • Cultivate relationships with governmental agencies, identifying new partnerships and growth opportunities.
  • Lead initiatives to expand service offerings and customer base within state and federal agencies.
  • Represent the company in discussions with public sector clients and key stakeholders.

  • Policy & Procedure Implementation:
  • Review and implement company policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay abreast of changes in governmental policies and adapt internal processes accordingly.

  • Team Leadership & Development:
  • Lead by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Mentor and support staff, ensuring a strong and motivated team.
  • Promote a culture of listening and open communication across all levels of the company.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally within the business, financial, legal, or software sectors.
  • Strong understanding of governmental or public sector operations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and contract management.
  • Hands-on experience in managing day-to-day operations in a small to mid-sized company.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to drive innovation and business improvements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Versatility to balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on operational duties.

Preferred Experience:
  • Government or experience running a software company
  • Familiarity with policy creation, procedure implementation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Background in financial management or legal contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a company through growth and innovation.
