We are seeking a highly organized and professional leader to establish systems, ensure accountability, build culture, manage operational logistics and oversee the team. The Director of Operations role involves a wide range of executive level tasks in both creation and implementation, requiring the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate for Director of Operations will be flexible, well-organized, detail focused and possess the capacity to oversee a high-volume distribution system, client accounts and fiduciary metrics.
Key Responsibilities
Team oversight: To provide daily oversight of the administrative team, provide clear expectations and goals, hold the team accountable and oversee the personnel functions of recruitment, retention and culture building
Financial Performance: Working closely with the owners to establish financial goals and working with the team to achieve those goals
Logistics: Ensure prompt order placement, oversee deliveries, help to communicate delays and oversee the process through completion.
Sales: Strategize closely with the owners to source new candidates assist with sales campaigns, growing existing accounts and team incentives
Customer Relationship Management: Create and establish expectations for the team to build and maintain customer relationships following the established metrics
Culture Building
Develop a positive working culture that encompasses the company vision and mission
Partner closely with the owner to create incentives and programs to boost employee satisfaction that harbors a fun and exciting work environment
Meeting and Event Coordination
Creating a weekly structure of team meetings
Conduct weekly one on one meetings
Provide summaries to the owner on a determined basis
Assisting with the setup of client meetings and showroom presentations
Customer Service
Empower the team to build and maintain relationships with each account
Design systems that measure customer satisfaction
Assign accounts as appropriate to the team
Executive Accountability
Prepare timely reports for ownership, create operational budgets, Comply with budgets and ensure the compliance is followed by the team as well as Data Management.
Learn, create and improve data capture and statistical analytics
Create standards for the team to work at an efficient capacity with minimal opportunity for human error.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 5 to 7 years' experience as an Operational Leader in Logistics, Hospitality or in a similar role.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), QuickBooks Online, and CRM tools (Salesforce).
Time Management: Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Independence: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
