We are looking for a dynamic individual to lead our clients and operations team in the ideation of service excellence in Conference Planning, Audio Visual and Meeting Management. This position will oversee multiple locations across the US with some potential interface internationally.
Qualified candidates will be based in the Maryland, Virginia, or DC area, have 8+ years of experience in leading larger teams in conference planning, meeting management, in an upscale corporate or hotel environment, having the ability to drive and evolve the business model. Approximately 50% travel is required.
Key Responsibilities:

Successfully builds relationships at all levels of the organizations
Identifies client's needs
Communicates account progress and new Company programs to client
Conducts and/or manages customer, client and associate satisfaction surveys
Visits clients and accounts regularly
Delivers the corporate communications and priorities to both the region team members and clients
Builds an effective and results achieving team within the division
Communicates effectively with all team members
Ensures that all direct reports take specific action to correct issues at client units that do not attain corporate levels of satisfaction
Develops and monitors realistic and accurate budget and forecasts
Ensures that the Division is meeting financial performance and client forecasts
Participates in the sales process by working with pre-proposal site survey team, aiding in presentations, aiding in negotiation and approving of final contact
Ensures that Operations Team members are performing their responsibilities effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent professional experience
8+ years of experience in leading larger teams in conference planning, meeting management, in an upscale corporate or hotel environment - required
Multi-account (preferably on a national level) management experience
Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning
Ability to multi-task as well as stay on task and concentrate with constant interruptions
Must be able to make business decisions based on financial reports and similar facts
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Must be based within a commutable distance of listed location with ability to travel approximately 50%
