We're currently searching for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our team. This position will report to the CEO/COO and is an on-site position in our office in Bethesda, Maryland.
For the last couple of years, Potomac has been developing a new investment proposal and risk analysis software called "Guardrails". The primary project of the Senior Software Developer would be to continue developing the application (currently in Beta testing), working with internal stakeholders & contracted developers, develop new features, and to work towards full release to our client base.

Qualifications:
Must live in the D.C. Metro area and be able to work onsite in Bethesda, MD.
Minimum of 3-5 years developing web applications
Deep knowledge of programming languages
Tech Stack = React + Python (Django or Flask or similar) + AWS/GCP/etc. The more experience you have with these, the better
Must be familiar with both front & back-end design & development
Bachelor's degree in software engineering/computer science, or relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the FinTech/Wealth Management Industry is a plus
Responsibilities:
Participate in full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, test, and delivery
Develop proprietary web applications using a variety of technologies
Develop integrations with software partners, making use of modern API + security practices
Senior-level applicants should demonstrate application architecture knowledge and practical experience in incrementally improving application design over time
Collaborate with internal teams & contracted external developers
Continually look for ways to improve & evolve our web applications/technologies
Mitigate bugs & roadblocks as quickly as possible
Manage stakeholders to deliver deployments precisely & efficiently
