We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Engineering to oversee our Engineering and Drafting Departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and drafters, ensuring the successful completion of projects, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Product Engineering and Drafting Departments.
Take ownership of new and existing product designs.
Ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards with error free shop drawings and design packages.
Direct department activities to support other departments, design new products, modify existing designs, and manage product design improvement through revision tracking and traceability.
Communicate project requirements and provide guidance on design modifications to stakeholders.
Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Qualifications:
B.S. in an Engineering field or equivalent combination of education/experience
Experience with building materials, curtain walls, storefronts, windows, composites, or sandwich panels is a plus.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership role.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving, project management, scheduling and decision-making abilities.
