Job Description:
My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Superintendent to join their team in Palm Beach, Florida. As a leader in the construction of large-scale multi-family residential projects, the company is dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of successfully overseeing multi-family construction projects, along with a strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and project management.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities for multi-family residential projects.
Ensure projects are completed in accordance with design, budget, and schedule requirements.
Read and interpret construction documents and blueprints to direct project activities.
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and site personnel.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance.
Maintain accurate project documentation using construction management software such as Procore.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing according to plan and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners.
Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize disruptions and delays.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a superintendent, specifically in multi-family residential construction.
Skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction documents and blueprints.
Knowledgeable in building codes, safety regulations, and permit requirements.
Expertise in all phases of wood framing and construction techniques.
Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing large teams.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and handle stress effectively.
Commitment to promoting a culture of safety on-site.
Physically capable of navigating construction sites and working in various weather conditions.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, costs, and scheduling.
Proficiency with construction management software, such as Procore.
Licenses and Certifications:
OSHA 30-hour certification (or the ability to obtain one within a specified timeframe).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
