Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will specialize in public and private general construction as well as construction management. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong track record of managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination: Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, from initial planning and design to completion. Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Team Leadership: Lead and supervise project teams, including subcontractors, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Foster a collaborative work environment and ensure clear communication across all parties.
Quality Control: Ensure that all work performed meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations. Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective use of resources. Approve and process change orders and manage financial aspects of the project.
Client Relations: Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or issues. Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and manage expectations effectively.
Compliance: Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards, building codes, and environmental guidelines.
Problem Solving: Identify potential risks and issues proactively, developing and implementing solutions to mitigate them and keep projects on track.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in commercial construction, with a proven track record in managing public and private general construction projects.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) are a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in construction management software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
