We are looking for a candidate with 2+ years of property/casualty insurance coverage experience who is eager to work collaboratively with practice group leadership and take on increasingly challenging projects and responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct legal research on coverage and litigation issues
Perform coverage analysis, including insurance policy and claims fact review
Prepare draft coverage position letters
Handle all aspects of insurance coverage litigation - from pleadings to trial and settlement
Author articles on timely insurance topics
Education And Qualification Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Admission to DC bar or waiver eligibility (required)
Admission(s) to MD and/or VA is a plus
Minimum of 2 years property/casualty insurance coverage experience
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task a diverse caseload while meeting deadlines
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to task execution
