Position Overview: The Audit Supervisor for Public Accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of audits for various clients. This role requires a highly skilled individual with extensive knowledge in management consulting, accounting, and auditing. The ideal candidate will also possess a strong understanding of internal controls, financial statements, tax returns, and tax returntechnical skills in order to effectively lead a team and ensure accurate and timely completion of audits.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage audit engagements for a diverse client base
Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand their business operations and identify potential areas of risk
Lead and supervise a team of auditors to ensure efficiency and accuracy in audit processes
Review financial statements and tax returns prepared by team members for accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
Conduct research and analysis to identify potential issues and provide recommendations for improvement to clients
Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance in all audit processes
Collaborate with other departments, such as tax and consulting, to provide comprehensive services to clients
Prepare and present reports to clients and management regarding audit findings and recommendations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
CPA or other relevant certification
Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on auditing
Experience in management consulting and/or internal controls preferred
Strong understanding of financial statements and tax returns
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to effectively manage and lead a team
Proficient in relevant software and technical skills, such as GAAP, SOX, and Excel
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
