Position Overview:
You will benefit from working side by side with a talented and experienced group of professionals eager to mentor. Day to day activities can involve significant interaction with various functional groups such as Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Test Engineering and Manufacturing, allowing for additional broad learning opportunities. Position will begin in June 2025 and run through August 2025.
Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineering summer intern, you'll be supporting the detail design, analysis, integration and test of advanced optical and electro-mechanical systems for state-of-the-art military (ground, airborne, space) systems. You'll be responsible for detail design and analysis of flight articles and/or test fixtures, coordinating engineering changes, supporting assembly and test, compiling and presenting designs and analysis to the engineering teams.
Education Requirements:
Must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering from an accredited institution.
Must have completed a minimum of 24 college credits.
Experience Required:
Knowledge of CAD modeling (PTC CREO4 preferred, Solidworks acceptable)
Familiarity of PTC/Simulate, MathCAD or other analysis packages
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power point
Experience and ability in the preparation of technical reports and presentations
Familiarity with machine design, strength of materials and machine shop practices
Previous intern experience is preferred
