Job Description:
Director, Medical Affairs - Rare Disease
We are currently working with a east coast based, rare disease focused biotech looking to hire a new Director, medical affairs.
Reporting directly into the Senior Director, you'll be heavily focused on pre-launch activities and strategy as a key member of the medical team.
Responsibilities:
- Execute medical strategy for Rare disease pipeline
- Build and maintain relationships with KOLs to inform future product launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Field Medical, Global Medical Affairs, Commercial, etc.) to align engagement and educational strategies.
- Partner with experts to develop clinical practice guidelines and diagnostic tools.
- Generate medical insights to guide cross-functional strategies.
- Lead development of medical content and educational materials, ensuring timely delivery with external vendors.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and manage stakeholder relationships to enhance educational content.
- Manage project budgets.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MD, PharmD, PhD); additional post-doctoral experience preferred.
- 8-10 years of pharmaceutical experience, with expertise in rare diseases and product launches.
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Focus on patient outcomes and scientific advancement.
This role is hybrid ( 2 days a week onsite ) however, can be remote if based along the east coast.
We are looking for this person to start in Q4 with interviews commencing within the next 2/3 weeks.
