Our client offers a complete suite of management and support services for construction, space planning, business operations, and real estate. They are looking for a QA/QC Manager with Hospital or Major Renovations experience to work his a large named GC.
This QA/QC Manager will oversee all aspects of construction to ensure that projects adhere to approved standards, plans, and specifications while effectively representing the client's interests throughout the project delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:
Review contractor invoices for accuracy and make recommendations for approval or rejection to the project manager or contracting officer.
Assist in creating technical write-ups and cost estimates for construction efforts, including modifications or standalone projects.
Use the client's electronic project management system to create, route, and document files, reports, and other project-related documentation.
Review requests for proposals (RFPs), designs, and related documents prior to construction, ensuring alignment with best practices and applicable codes (UFCs).
Conduct on-site inspections and monitor contractor performance to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Provide expert advice and technical support to the Contracting Officer regarding the construction contract.
Implement comprehensive project controls to manage time, cost, scope, quality, and safety effectively.
Attend quality, safety, and performance meetings to discuss ongoing and upcoming work.
Inform the client of any deviations or changes, seeking necessary approvals or modifications to the construction contract.
Perform technical quality assurance checks on construction work.
Requirements:
10-12 years of experience with Hospitals or Major Renovations
