Our client is looking for a Quality Technician that completes quality assurance activities to support the production of first quality finished goods. Must be a team builder who is comfortable with motivating and coaching team members towards compliance and quality standards. The position works under the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
? Ensures plant cleanliness by communicating issues and overseeing corrections
? Perform quality checks including but not limited to CCP and packaging
? Monitors and verifies Production processes meet quality and food safety standards
? Monitors the compliance of all Good Manufacturing Practices for all employees
? Generate labels and print documentation
? Collect samples for microbiological testing and submission of samples for testing
SKILLS AND QUALITIES
? Should be bilingual (Spanish/English)
? Be reliable and dependable in attendance
? Ability to multi-task and prioritize
? Self-motivated individual who can work with limited direct supervision
? Ability to work well in a team-oriented atmosphere
? Basic math skills, High School Diploma or GED a plus
? Previous work experience in a food manufacturing or food service environment preferred
? Strong communication skills
? Ability to lift (up to 30 lbs), stand for extended periods of time
? Push, pull, squat, bend and reach above and below shoulder level
? Ability to complete repetitive tasks
? Able to withstand working in a noisy environment (with safety gear provided)
? Attention to detail and able to work quickly and accurately
? Be able to work flexible hours and be willing to adapt to changes in instructions and tasks
