As a Customer Service Assistant, you will be vital in delivering exceptional service to valued customers. You'll act as the face of the company, providing support to customers and representing the distribution network. Your responsibilities will cover all areas of sales support, order processing, and customer inquiry resolution while supporting the field sales team.
Compensation: $21/hr
Availability: Monday - Friday, work hours are 7am - 4:30pm (regular OT); flexibility required to support monthly and annual inventories.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide top-tier customer service and account management
Process quotes, sales orders, and data entry into the inventory/sales system
Handle customer calls and emails promptly and professionally
Coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any order issues
Reconcile orders, purchase orders, and invoices
Manage special orders and collaborate with dispatch, credit, and purchasing teams
Follow up on back orders and assist with filing and warehouse support as needed
Participate in monthly inventory counts and other inventory-related tasks
QUALIFICATIONS
Customer service experience: Previous experience required
Technical skills: Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; tech-savvy with strong typing skills
Bilingual: Spanish/English proficiency is a strong plus
Personality traits: Motivated, detail-oriented, proactive, with great organizational skills
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with phone, email, and in-person interactions
Problem-solving: Able to manage multiple tasks and remain calm under pressure
Team player: Able to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Knowledge of the construction industry or related fields is a plus
Strong math skills for daily tasks
Flexibility to adjust schedules as needed for inventory and customer demands
