Position Description:

The Grain Marketing Advisor plays a pivotal role in our organization by collaborating closely with the grain management team to strengthen member relationships and expand market share within our trade territory. This position is integral to our strategic marketing efforts and will directly report to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Core Duties & Responsibilities:
• Relationship Building - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing members while actively seeking new opportunities to connect with prospective clients. Understand their needs and provide tailored marketing solutions that drive mutual growth.
• Market Analysis - Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive positioning, and emerging opportunities in the grain sector. Utilize data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
• Risk Management - Demonstrates understanding, analysis and makes recommendations as to risk management strategies and provides hedging opportunities via a partnership with a qualified brokerage firm. Assists with the development of marketing plans for producers.
• Communication - Serve as a key liaison between growers and the organization, effectively communicating product offerings and market insights. Create informative materials and presentations to support outreach efforts through our website, newsletters, marketing meetings, social media, videos and other platforms.
• Operations - Coordinates with grain division management officials to assist in operations and logistics to maximizing efficiencies. Prepares grain inventory records, grades, purchase contracts, sales contracts and settlements.

• Safety and Compliance - Contributes to a culture that ensures that all facilities, equipment and personnel adhere to federal and state safety and compliance regulations.
• Credit Policy - Enforces the credit policy of the company.
• Other duties & responsibilities as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:
• 4-year degree in marketing or other business/agriculture related field (5-10 years of related job experience may substitute for education).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and make informed decisions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn business accounting systems.
• Maintains or has ability to obtain Series 3 and Series 30 NFA licensing.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, twist or lift objects up to 50 pounds.
