The Desktop IT Support Specialist provides technical support to the Garman Team while assisting the IT department to ensure that company operations are streamlined and secure. Responsibilities include:
Resolve incoming tickets from Team Members regarding hardware, software, and network issues and maintain the ticketing system dashboard. This includes assisting Team Members both in-house and remotely, providing all users with the support required to carry out their responsibilities.
Work with IT team to purchase, set up & install new equipment, including computers, monitors, printers, etc.
Assist in training Team Members to promote best practices and prevent future issues.
The successful candidate will be able to combine technical knowledge with excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Requirements include:
Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts with the ability to provide timely solutions.
Associate's degree in computer science or related technology field (or equivalent work experience) preferred.
Experience in an IT support or help desk role a plus.
Ability to master new software and technologies quickly.
Exceptional time management, organization, and multitasking abilities.
Strong understanding of Windows operating system (MacOS a plus).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Windows Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with Team Members to foster a positive work environment.
