Job Title: Quality Assurance AnalystLocation: Tallahassee, Florida- ONSITE ONLYJob Type: ContractDepartment: Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE)Project: MEPIC Technology Upgrade ProjectJob Description:The Quality Assurance Analyst will work under the direction of FDLEs assigned Project Manager and in conjunction with the projects current Business Analyst to achieve the goals and objectives of the MEPIC Technology Upgrade Project as defined and funded by a Legislative Budget Request (LBR). This person will be responsible for understanding the MEPIC business processes and requirements captured and will be the sole individual responsible for managing and ensuring quality software development results of the new MEPIC system.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has a passion for both business analysis and testing.Responsibilities: Business Analysis:Collaborate with project stakeholders and the development team to define business requirements and translate them into functional design documents.Create and manage the Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM).Create and maintain use cases and functional specifications.Work closely with the development team to ensure that business requirements are correctly understood and implemented.Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and system requirements.Testing (Manual and Automation):Conduct manual testing of applications using methodical approaches.Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project requirements.Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.Identify and report bugs, track them to resolution, and collaborate with the development team to resolve issues.Automate testing by writing scripts and using programming languages or automation frameworks.Develop and maintain User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scenario test cases and automated test suites.Test Strategy & Planning:Create and execute testing strategies that align with business goals.Design and implement test procedures for various types of testing, including system, integration, performance, stress, and security testing.Document test results, including defect logging and tracking.Ensure that all testing is well-documented, traceable, and aligned with the overall project plan.Create performance and load testing metrics and provide statistical analysis of results.Collaboration & Communication:Liaise with development teams and stakeholders for proper implementation of functional requirements.Communicate progress, challenges, and results of the testing process to the project team and provide weekly status reports to the project manager.Participate in project meetings to provide insights from both a business analysis and testing perspective.Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Mandatory:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in gathering and documenting business requirements (functional and non-functional) on full life cycle development projects.Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Quality Assurance Analyst or lead tester.Proficient in creating comprehensive Test Plans and using automated testing tools.Strong knowledge of software testing methods and best practices.Experience in testing integration of multiple systems or applications.Preferred:Masters Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience.Experience with creating automation scripts for testing.Certification in various Quality Control test methods.Proficient with Microsoft Visio, Jira, Loadrunner, Alfresco ECM, SQL, Java Spring Boot, Angular, HTML, CSS, and JS/TS. recblid 6b36wn33s1fghnhn1bgi7mcciu0qrd
