Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for an Associate Director of Operations Anaheim, CA.

This position is hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

The Associate Director of Operations, in collaboration with the Senior Director of Operations is responsible for the overall management of all agency Health Centers; with direct supervision of the Health Center Senior and Co-Managers. This position will partner with the Senior Director of Operations to support all clinical initiatives, operational strategies, and for standardization of services across the health centers.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.


  • In collaboration with the Senior Director of Operations, assume supervisory responsibility for all health centers in Orange and San Bernardino Counties.

  • Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure operational standardization and consistency across the organization

  • Responsible for scheduling, orienting, and supervising new Health Center Co-Managers and Area Directors in the areas of personnel policies and procedures, medical procedures, statistical and record keeping requirements, inventory procedures, office an equipment maintenance, Risk management, quality assurance, illness and injury policies and procedures, CLIA guidelines, and emergency procedures, and on-going training/updates as required.

  • Coaching and mentoring health center management.

  • Monitor center goals as set by COO and CEO, and ensure that health centers are on track in regards to the fulfillment of goals (i.e. patient volume, wait times, customer service, etc) through implementation of operational changes (i.e. new scheduling methods, on-going enforcement of patient satisfaction surveys, etc).

  • Deploy staff to health centers in need of coverage and ensure access to patient care.

  • Utilize float coverage when necessary to keep centers fully staffed and provide access to care for patients.

  • Ensure that the health center EMR schedules are prepared for three months in advance.

  • Lead monthly management team meetings.

  • Implement new services, policies and protocols to be determined by senior management team.

  • Respond to grievances to payers; not including those of clinical nature.

Minimum Education:


  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration or Nursing preferred or a combination of education and experience in related field.

 

Minimum Work Experience:


  • Five years in prior positions of increasing responsibility in clinical operations, reproductive health, managed/primary care and/or abortion services required.

  • Reproductive, primary health care and/or abortion services experience required.

 

Supervisory Experience:


  • Demonstrated ability as an effective leader including coaching and team-building skills.

  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

  • Budgeting experience.

  • Excellent strategic planning skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work without direct supervision.

 

Other Requirements:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Accuracy and attention to detail is essential.

  • This position requires travel to other sites and locations; if using a personal vehicle to meet this requirement, a valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.
