We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager, Development / Implementation who will be managing and leading teams focused on doing large scale software and systems implementations for our external clients. In this role, you will be managing a team of Software Engineers who are customizing and enhancing our applications and then leading the implementation of these large, complex systems and software for external clients. You will be the point person who will interact and interface with other development managers responsible for delivering other applications for the overall implementation. We are ideally seeking individuals with a software development background and recent experience managing teams involved in software and system implementations. The development and delivery of new features, reports, and interfaces will be the responsibility of you and your team.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as the role, at times, will have interaction with our clients as well as executives within our own organization. We are looking for someone that is "up to date" on development technologies and methodologies and is smart, resourceful and will do what it takes to get things done. Experience with up to date software testing methods to insure error free code and development using containerization would be relevant.
For this role, you should have the following skills and experience: • Five or more years plus of software development management experience ideally in Java/AWS technologies. Recent experience leading teams dealing with large scale software implementations such as ERP or other large, complex software application and systems. • Experienced with current software design and development methodologies and architecture. • Experienced with Industry Standard Source Control/Configuration tools. • Ability to mentor, encourage and manage software developers and engineers • Knowledge of and experience with API development and backend system integrations
For this role, the right individual would be one that has a development and software engineering background that has come up through the ranks and has experience managing software engineers and managing development teams. We are located in Atlanta and would strongly prefer someone that lives in the Atlanta area.
