The Opportunity:

We are seeking a strategic, results-oriented IT leader to build and execute Volition's core technology strategy. You will provide oversight of the strategic direction and execution of Volition's technology stack and internal IT. The successful hire will drive new technology initiatives that support Volition's capital deployment and portfolio support goals.

The Role:
  • Own Volition's internal infrastructure, including, but not limited to, all hardware, IT security, office technology, Internet, and operational systems.
  • Understand the business' direction and anticipate future requirements, building a technical and service road map that will ensure users receive the necessary services/support.
  • Work with the Volition HR team to ensure appropriate training and user education.
  • Drive internal usage adoption of selected tools and solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally to help identify, select, implement, and manage software systems.
  • Act as the day-to-day IT and tech expert, supporting the effective uptime of all systems and technology.
  • Serve as the point person during significant Information Technology incidents.
  • Manage all 3rd party vendors and service providers, including service levels and contractual agreements.
  • Work as a member of the facilities team to ensure that technology is utilized and applied appropriately to ensure an effective and efficient use of all office space.
  • Serve as primary control point during significant Information Technology incidents
  • Be a subject matter expert who will up-skill our team and specifically build out a technology strategy to reach and engage stakeholders across the growth equity market.

The Candidate:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology of equivalent experience.
  • Looking for a general athlete - who is passionate about IT, technology transformation, cloud systems, process automation, architecture, product development, etc.
  • Ability to manage up while providing strong business case to ensure adherence/usage.
  • Track record of technology diligence, understanding what can be automated and implemented, how technology impacts the broader business, etc.
  • A coachable and questioning attitude, process-oriented, ability to flourish in a fast-paced environment, good judgment, and ability to analyze.
  • Experience in VC/PE or early-stage venture-backed companies is a benefit.
  • Broad Knowledge of multiple different cloud systems, CRMs, ERPs, data models, databases, AI, etc.
  • Personality: Honesty/Integrity, Aggressiveness, Hands-on, organized, responsible, collaborative, has a high work ethic, is non-reactionary, down to earth, and humble.
