VACO Atlanta has partnered with a growing and reputable client to hire a Director of AR to oversee the strategic direction of the Collections and Cash Application departments. This role focuses on optimizing receivables collection, improving cash flow, and building strong customer relationships to address payment issues.
Location: Alpharetta, GA Onsite: Hybrid Job Type: Direct Hire Comp: $120,000 - $140,000 annually + bonus
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategies to improve collections and cash application processes.
Oversee day-to-day collection activities, including escalated and strategic accounts.
Ensure timely and accurate cash application to client accounts.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve A/R issues and improve payment cycles.
Provide customer service for billing discrepancies and A/R concerns.
Lead and develop the collections team, including coaching and training.
Track performance metrics and report on A/R results and key indicators.
Support monthly financial close with accurate A/R data.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
7+ years of experience in A/R management and team leadership.
Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
