Client Overview:
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company specializing in large-scale sewage, tunneling, waterway, and water pipe infrastructure projects. Our client is recognized for delivering complex civil engineering projects with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and sustainability. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Superintendent to join their team and oversee critical water infrastructure projects in the Orlando area.
Position Summary:
The Superintendent will play a key role in leading the on-site management and execution of construction projects. This position requires an individual with a strong background in sewage systems, underground tunneling, or similar civil infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in successfully managing complex construction projects and an ability to ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the client's high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and according to design specifications.
Coordinate and manage project schedules, subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel.
Oversee the implementation of safety protocols, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining OSHA compliance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction with project outcomes.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks or delays, ensuring smooth project progression.
Maintain accurate documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a superintendent role or similar leadership position, ideally within sewage, tunneling, or water pipe construction projects.
Strong understanding of water and sewage infrastructure, including relevant construction methods and regulatory requirements.
Demonstrated experience managing multi-million-dollar projects from inception to completion.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in project management software and ability to read technical plans and specifications.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
