Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced Credit Analyst to join their team. This role is essential in managing credit approvals and collections for a designated area, ensuring that financial risks are minimized while maintaining strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Credit Review & Approval: Assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, running reports through D&B and Experian, and approving credit lines up to $150K.
  • Accounts Receivable Management: Oversee accounts receivable (AR) of up to $1 million, supporting over 300 customer accounts. Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely collection and resolution of any AR issues.
  • Customer Set-Up: Manage the process of setting up new customers, ensuring proper credit evaluations and adherence to company policies.
  • Collections: Make outbound collection calls, partnering with internal sales and operations teams to resolve payment issues and minimize write-offs.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and provide ad-hoc reports on AR and credit status to management, ensuring transparency and ongoing risk assessment.
  • Collaboration & Meetings: Attend meetings with internal sales teams and customers to discuss credit-related matters, providing insight and recommendations for securing payment terms.
  • Special Projects: Support special credit-related projects and initiatives as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit and collections, with a strong emphasis on evaluating customer financials and managing AR.
  • Financial Analysis: Solid understanding of financial statements and credit reporting agencies (D&B, Experian).
  • Excel Proficiency: Must have strong experience in Excel, including VLookups (Pivot tables are a plus).
  • Customer Management: Proven track record of supporting a customer base of 300+ and managing AR up to $1 million.
  • Texas Lien Law: Familiarity with Texas lien laws is a significant advantage.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of balancing strong customer relationships while maintaining firm credit policies.
