Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the A8 and US CyberCom here at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. As a Cyber Security SME, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the security and integrity of DoD systems. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying vulnerabilities, developing robust security strategies, and implementing advanced solutions to counter cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert guidance on cyber best practices and emerging threats.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy secure systems.
Stay current with the latest cyber trends, technologies, and regulations.
Assist in developing long-term strategies and priorities for the Air Force's future needs.
Qualifications:
Active TS/SCI Security Clearance is mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field. Engineering positions do require a Computer Engineering degree.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cyber position, preferably within the DoD environment.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
Proficiency in security tools and technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or similar are highly desirable.
