Position Overview: The Membership Development Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, engage, and retain members. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to the mission of the Chamber. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and capable of building lasting relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive membership development plan to grow the Chamber's membership base.
Identify and engage prospective members through outreach, networking, and community engagement activities.
Manage the membership application and renewal process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all members.
Develop and implement member retention strategies to maintain high levels of member satisfaction and engagement.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records and reports.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling membership materials and campaigns.
Monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously improve membership development efforts.
Work with Operations and marketing staff to coordinate events
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in membership development, sales, or a related role.
Strong understanding of the LGBT community and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
Proven track record of achieving membership growth and retention goals.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and membership management software.
Experience in event planning and coordination is a plus.

Base salary plus commission.
