Position Summary


We are seeking a passionate, mission driven professional who can lead building performance standards, practices and training for residential programs across the US. This role will split time between supporting Snugg Pro users and serving as an expert in building energy performance for the company. This dynamic role involves providing best-in-class support to customers, leading energy audits, and collaborating with various teams to market and expand Snugg Pro's presence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building science and energy efficiency, with an ability to train and support others in their use of energy modeling tools. Snugg Pro, an energy modelling platform, is used by internal and external users. This position will assist in the design and delivery of next generation whole-home programs and support the central engineering team with building science principles and energy modeling best practices.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee onboarding and training for Snugg Pro contractors and energy auditors

  • Provide technical support to Snugg Pro users, troubleshooting energy models and guide energy auditing practices

  • Lead or support in-home energy audits and assessments, utilizing industry knowledge and tools.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to promote Snugg Pro by highlighting key features and communicating value propositions

  • Work closely with the Program Success Manager, Product Manager, and technical support to ensure seamless contractor support and drive platform improvements

  • Manage contractor success tracking, reporting, and communication

  • Serve as an expert on building energy performance, providing guidance and support to both customers and company teams

  • Train and mentor team members on building science, energy modeling, and Snugg Pro usage

  • Manage contractor success tracking and reporting

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to expand direct-to-contractor use of Snugg Pro by highlighting key features, tracking success metrics and communicating value propositions to the market

  • Collaborate with Product Manager and Program Success Manager to identify platform improvements that increase value and quality of life for contractors and energy auditors

  • Monitor building performance codes and standards to develop best practices for

  • Serve as an expert on building energy performance, providing guidance and support to both customers and internal teams

Position Requirements


Education and Experience

  • Mechanical Engineering degree (preferred) or 5 years of relevant experience

  • BPI Analyst or similar building science knowledge

  • Significant experience performing in-home energy audits including blower door testing, thermal imaging, and problem solving

  • Extensive knowledge with heat loss calculations and energy modeling

  • Ideally experienced in Snugg Pro or OptiMiser

  • Acumen for technical troubleshooting and self-learning

  • Experience with technical support, Intercom or similar, and Slack

  • Proficient in technical writing and general computer skills

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel up to 15%



Estimated Wage Range: $85,500 - $109,000+
