Responsibilities
As a laboratory technician at Helio Genomics, you will be responsible for following scientific protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the conduct of laboratory bench work. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, maintaining careful documentation of work, experiments, and scientific data. Additionally, the candidate will maintain confidence, focus, and composure in a clinical laboratory environment.

Conduct bench testing procedures
Process patent blood specimens

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science, or a degree in medical technology from an accredited institution.
Preferred Experience
Two years of laboratory training or experience with high complexity testing
Experience utilizing a laboratory information management system (LIMS)
Experience with laboratory automation/liquid handlers
Additional Preferences
Experience working under regulatory standards (GLP, CLIA, FDA)
Strong self-management and organizational skills
Oral and written communication skills that demonstrate an ability to effectively (clearly, succinctly) communicate with all levels of the organization

This job operates in a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) laboratory environment where human blood, blood products and other bodily fluids are processed, stored, and analyzed. Human blood, blood products and other bodily fluids may contain pathogens that pose a health risk. These pathogens may include Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) and Hepatitis C Virus (HCV).
