Position Summary:
The Purchasing Manager will oversee the purchasing and budgeting for our cannabis retail stores nationwide. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, vendor management, pricing strategies, and budget planning. This extremely data-driven role is essential in ensuring our stores are stocked with high-quality products at competitive prices while hitting business goals maintaining and strong vendor relationships.

Essential Job Functions:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure a consistent, high-quality inventory for all retail locations. Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms. Manage the procurement process, including purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory levels. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. Evaluate and monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards. Identify new vendors and opportunities to enhance the product offering. Develop pricing strategies that are competitive and aligned with market trends. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan and execute promotions and discounts. Monitor sales performance and adjust pricing strategies as needed to optimize revenue and profitability. Prepare and manage the purchasing budget for all retail locations. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality. Analyze financial reports and provide insights to senior management on purchasing trends and budget performance. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with state regulations governing the cannabis industry Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Required:
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have high school diploma or equivalent Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record Must have reliable transportation Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the cannabis industry Must be able to pass all background check and licensing requirements as set forth by the Division of Cannabis Control Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodation Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
