ECS is seeking a Veterans Affairs Strategy and Business Development Executive to work Remote.

The VA Strategy and Business Development Executive will be responsible for growing the VA market portfolio with a heavy emphasis on information technology solutions. They will leverage understanding of the government and commercial technology markets, and customer needs to plan and execute growth activities. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work within the account team to collaboratively develop capture strategies, client and industry call plans and competitive analysis. They will identify and document win themes, technical approach and price to win strategy. They will facilitate and create solution strategies for opportunities leveraging expertise of the Business Development, technical centers of excellence and ECS delivery teams. They will lead and contribute to demos, proposals, presentations, and other customer-facing artifacts.

Remote Locations: DC Metro Area, Red Bank NJ, Tampa FL, and Austin TX

Salary Range: $175,000-$300,000 plus annual incentive eligibility

Required Skills:

• 10+ years of experience in VA IT
• Demonstrated track record of identifying and closing new business (>=$100M contracts) at Department of Veterans Affairs using consultative and collaborative multi-discipline team approach.
• Demonstrated record of VA senior executive leader engagement and relationships
• US Citizenship is required
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Deep understanding of Federal technology trends with the ability to drive positive change following industry perspective via the latest technology solutions in priority VA programs
• Proven track record of collaborating with technology vendors and partners to close business.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing, high growth environment.


Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated and proven executive experience in federal marketing and business development including agency account planning, pipeline creation/origination/qualification/development, pursuit team assembly and opportunity development to drive new sales.
• Leverage and expand client and industry relationships across the VA and in the T4 programs to build and drive new business deals.
• Collaborate with the ECS Health executive team to provide strategic support in advancing the VA business and achieving growth objectives.
• Position ECS as a trusted technology adviser and partner with decision-makers at VA, especially within Office of Information and Technology.
• Proactively develop innovative solutions and strategies with ECS teams and strategic partners to drive new opportunities within VA marketplace; represent ECS through industry events and marketing channels through speaking roles and thought leadership.
• Prepare written materials to effectively communicate research findings and strategic recommendations to internal leadership, fostering informed decision-making.
• Stay abreast of current industry best practices through literature reviews, ensuring that our strategies align with the latest trends and advancements in the healthcare consulting sector.
• Work on proposal efforts to include capture, solutioning, and assisting proposal writers, proposal managers, business subject matter experts, technical experts, clinical subject matter experts, etc., with proposal writing and compliance reviews.
