Overview

IDC is seeking a Senior Director of Business Operations to join IDC, helping to manage the new IDC Velocity business line. The Senior DIrector will have a strong program management background. Bringing experience in business readiness and Go-to-Market planning for technology solutions, the role requires someone who excels at clear and concise stakeholder communications at all levels. The role reports into the SVP/ GM of the Velocity business line.

The Senior Director will manage a high-visibility multi-disciplinary program and requires a business oriented, customer-centric mindset with an attention to results. This role includes stakeholder management, developing governance and program frameworks as well as managing requirements, schedules, and risk mitigation.

This position can be remote within the U.S., preferably on eastern or central time zones, or in one of our approved US office locations with a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with senior leadership to influence, prioritize and deliver on a strategic cross functional initiative from concept through execution.
  • Develop and manage a complex program plan that enables connections across work streams and surfaces critical dependencies and/or issues to be escalated.
  • Partner directly with senior leadership and market research teams to align program strategy with customer needs and market trends.
  • Ensure effective stakeholder management through an organized approach to monitor and influence stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop exceptional executive communication including crisp, actionable board updates.
  • Organize and facilitate cross functional meetings and workshops to align teams on requirements, solutions, and execution plans.
  • Create and maintain process documentation where needed to promote best practices and help to establish a program management playbook.


Qualifications



  • 10+ years program management at a technology company or working on technology related initiatives.
  • Proven track record managing complex, large scale, and cross functional programs, that include software product development and GTM initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of product and program management methodologies, frameworks, and tools
  • Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe Agilist a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, computer science, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Experience handling complex tasks such as project planning, budgeting,resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience developing and presenting operating & governance models, program plans, status etc. to large audiences and senior executives
  • Strong communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear, concise manner both verbally and in writing, comfort in business and technical discussions.
  • Self-starter, adaptable and flexible who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and innovative high-growth environment
  • Experience in a startup environment, going from concept stage, through product market fit, and further growth and scale

Salary range and additional compensation, including discretionary bonuses and incentive pay, are determined by a rigorous review process. This process considers the experience, education, certifications, and skills required for the specific role, equity with similarly situated employees, as well as employer-verified US region-specific market data provided by an independent 3rd party partner. The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $220,000 and $250,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
