Schneider Electric has a meaningful opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in preferably at one of our HUB locations in Dallas, TX, Nashville, TN, and Boston/Andover/Foxboro MA, in a hybrid role (2-4 days on-site per week) or at other non-HUB locations, which also may be considered . Position Summary


  • The Business Finance Analyst role supports multiple activities for the US Digital Power business

  • If you're looking to learn a little bit about everything within Schneider Electric as it offers valuable exposure to different commercial activities on a smaller scale, this role is for you

  • In addition, you will partner with leaders across different areas of the business (Sales, Operations, Channel, Offer Management, Strategy, & Commercial Ops) by providing value-added support and analysis to assist in decision making

  • Digital Power is a fast-growing and highly profitable business in the US and is of strategic importance in leading the company's digital transformation

  • The business sells a mix of transactional products and integrated solutions through multiple channels (distributors, partners/EcoXperts, direct to end user) covering a diverse group of market segments (Data Centers, Industrial, Utility, Healthcare, etc.)

  • This role will provide exposure to full P&L management, strategic planning, and country leadership

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Support and challenge business partners to achieve the business financial goals

  • Forecast and report financial performance for the different activities within the business

  • Cost budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

  • Backlog reporting and order intake analysis

  • Headcount management, utilization, and capacity planning

  • Evaluate, analyze, and report business gross margin performance, focusing on key trends and areas of opportunity

  • Gross Margin Analysis of Change (AOC) drivers (volume, price, mix, productivity)

  • Identify root causes of monthly margin performance variation

  • Manage the orders and sales forecasting process, working with the business to build the monthly forecast

  • Monitor actual financial performance and analyze any gaps to forecast

  • Manage the month-end close process

  • General ledger and balance sheet analysis

  • Balance sheet and inventory management

  • Ad-hoc requests from internal and external auditing groups

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent

  • At least 2+ years of work experience

  • Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel and PowerPoint

  • Working knowledge of Accounting and Controlling principles and procedures

Skills & Abilities


  • Ability to work with large sets of data and identify patterns

  • Eager to constantly learn, improve, and grow into larger roles within the company

  • Excellent organizational skills including handling multiple demands and assignments and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various management levels

Preferences


  • Role Available: At least 3+ years of business finance partner and/or controlling experience

  • Specialist Role Available: At least 5+ years of business finance partner and/or controlling experience

  • Experience in SQL, Tableau or SAP
